About the role

The AEC Data Model team at Autodesk is dedicated to advancing the capabilities of data platforms that support the entire project and asset lifecycle. We focus on developing APIs, services, and user interfaces that empower our customers and developers to leverage data effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product managers, engineers, user researchers, and designers to define and implement impactful user experiences
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design efforts with broader platform initiatives
  • Create and refine visual and interactive prototypes at various levels of fidelity
  • Facilitate design workshops and gather user feedback to inform iterative improvements
  • Present design concepts to stakeholders and lead discussions on complex technical topics
  • Conduct user research and translate findings into enhanced user experiences

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in user experience design and user research
  • Proven experience in designing complex B2B or technical platform products
  • Strong understanding of AEC customer workflows and experience designing BIM and 3D applications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • A current portfolio showcasing enterprise UX case studies
  • Excellent facilitation skills and comfort working in complex, ambiguous technical environments
  • Strong communication skills, able to articulate complex ideas clearly and positively

Qualifications

  • Experience with complex data management concepts and related experience design patterns
  • Experience designing or working with AI-supported tools and workflows, including familiarity with emerging AI concepts like Agents and MCPs
  • First-hand experience across the AEC project lifecycle and with Autodesk tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Forma
  • Experience auditing, integrating, or optimizing existing user experiences
  • Working knowledge of platform concepts such as SDKs and APIs
