About the role

Building and closing high-impact partnerships with city governments, transport authorities, and private operators, navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from first conversation to signed deal
Executing go-to-market plans for West’s unique buying landscape, including public-sector procurement processes, political dynamics, and multi-year funding cycles
Creating compelling, data-driven business cases that show how Via's platform improves ridership, efficiency, and sustainability for cities and regions across the market
Acting as a trusted advisor to city leaders and mobility operators as they design future transit networks, identify funding mechanisms, and navigate operational and political constraints
Representing Via externally in your market, contributing to how modern mobility is understood across the region through conferences, industry events, and thought leadership
Sharing market intelligence with product and strategy teams, contributing on-the-ground insight from what cities and operators actually need

Responsibilities

  • Build and close high-impact partnerships with city governments, transport authorities, and private operators
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from first conversation to signed deal
  • Create compelling, data-driven business cases showing how Via's platform improves ridership, efficiency, and sustainability
  • Act as a trusted advisor to city leaders and mobility operators in designing future transit networks
  • Represent Via externally at industry events and contribute to shaping how modern mobility is understood
  • Share market intelligence with product and strategy teams based on on-the-ground insights from city and operator needs

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in sales, business development, or strategy, with a proven ability to win in enterprise, government, infrastructure, or tech-enabled services
  • A track record of winning complex, multi-stakeholder deals where outcomes are driven by trust and influence
  • Strong analytical and storytelling skills; able to turn data, policy, and customer needs into a clear, compelling commercial narrative
  • Ability to read tone and adapt communication style, whether in a boardroom, at a conference, or in a written proposal
  • Curious, resourceful, and comfortable in ambiguity; willing to move forward even in ambiguous situations
  • Sound commercial judgment; able to determine when to push, when to listen, and when to rethink the approach to maximize deal value
  • A natural collaborator who views success as a team effort and thrives in high-ownership environments

  • Experience in public transport or mobility is a plus

$145,000 - $165,000 final salary, depending on experience, knowledge, and skills
