About the role
In the role of Senior Engineering Manager, you will be a vital part of the Leadership team in our Battle Creek, MI Plant. You’ll provide technical expertise and management around capital projects, facility maintenance, construction projects, and much more. By driving our improvement culture with our Kellogg Integrated Work Systems (KIWS) model, you contribute to our growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Plant Engineering Management – You’ll be a key ingredient to our success! You will be leading and directing continuous technical improvement of the facility, equipment, utilities and facilities maintenance, wastewater treatment, and production control systems. You will ensure effective execution of projects by meeting program objectives, project budgets and schedules.
- Collaboration – Collaboration is important with corporate engineering, contracted service partners, Plant Operations teams, and Quality teams.
- Strategy & Scorecards – You will be partnering with Global Engineering to deploy corporate technical business strategies that align them with plant strategies and performance goals. You will be establishing and ensuring achievement of all function-specific Key Performance Indicators and Kellogg Integrated Work Systems continuous improvement efforts.
- Budget Management – You will be committed to having an owner’s mindset in this role, and financial success plays a big part. You will be managing, preparing, and justifying expenses and capital budgets for the Engineering department.
Requirements
- Comprehensive managerial and technical background in a plant environment
- Project management, communication, and budgeting
- Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering/technical or other related field and five (5) years of relevant experience OR High School diploma/GED and ten (10) years of relevant experience
- Experience within the food manufacturing industry
- Experienced in initiating as well as managing large capital projects
- Knowledgeable in all state and appropriate utilities operations
- Knowledgeable of union processes

- Salary Range: $146,560 - $183,200
