Senior Engineering Manager

About the role

You will lead a team building customer-facing tools to help developers secure their software from vulnerabilities introduced by dependencies. Your team will aim to reduce the noise in security alerts, focusing on the 20% of vulnerabilities that are actually reachable given the way our customers' use their dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with your product and design partners to create a roadmap for the success of your product that balances iterative changes with big bets.
• Prioritize and direct your team’s schedule, balancing the needs of developing new technology and internal technical quality.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers, helping them gain the skills needed to lead and mentor other engineers through increasingly difficult projects.
• Build an environment of trust that rewards creativity, risk taking, and personal responsibility.
• Continually grow your team through the hiring of diverse, productive, high-level technical talent.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams.
• A strong foundation in product development and bringing products to production via a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Familiarity with agile development principles and iterative milestone development.
• A strong desire to help engineers and other leaders grow through coaching and mentorship.
• Opinions on Software Composition Analysis, familiarity with building security products, or experience working at a dev tooling company.

Pay

The estimated starting annual salary range for this position is $197,000- $288,000. The actual base salary will be determined based on a number of factors, which may include job-related skills, relevant experience, qualifications, location, internal equity, and market data.

Schedule

This role is expected to be hybrid, requiring 3 days a week in either the San Francisco office or the NYC office.
