Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage the global product baseline and change process within a designated business unit, ensuring successful implementation across assigned product lines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product baselines and change control requirements for assigned products and projects.
- Identify components and assemblies critically to implementing product changes at operational sites and within both existing and new customer-installed bases.
- Lead programs and various projects and partner with stakeholders to develop efficient product change management processes that improve cycle time, enhance manufacturing execution, and minimize inventory impact.
- Provide product support to manufacturing, supply chain, product management, account management, and other functional teams regarding baselines and modifications.
- Demonstrate expertise in product change processes and related business practices, including proficiency with enterprise systems such as PLM and ERP.
- Oversee planning functions to ensure effective change of implementation dates and smooth transitions across operational sites.
- Ensure compliance with engineering documentation standards and maintain accuracy in Bill of Materials (BOM) management platforms.
- Manage Digital Mockup (DMU) and iteration modeling instances.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing complex technical programs and engineering projects.
- Minimum 3 years in product configuration and systems engineering.
- Strong exposure to Configuration Management (CMII) practices (CMII certification preferred).
- Solid understanding of Project Management principles (PMI foundation).
- Knowledge of inventory management and CPIM practices.
- Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) and ERP systems (SAP S4 Hana, MRP).
- Proficiency in 3D CAD environments (CREO).
- Familiarity with Design for Six Sigma methodologies.
Additional Skills Required
- Intermediate knowledge of complex mechanical/electrical model systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems into actionable components.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment, driving results and influencing change through collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focus.
