Senior Technical Program Manager (Engineering)

About the role

The Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) will lead complex engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope and requirements
• Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns
• Manage risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed
• Ensure successful handover of projects to production environments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a technical program management role
• Proven track record of managing large-scale engineering projects
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools
• Strong leadership skills and ability to influence decision-making across various levels of the organization
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Qualifications

• Technical expertise in relevant engineering domains
• Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar tools
• Knowledge of software development processes and methodologies
• Understanding of IT infrastructure and systems architecture

Skills

• Project management certifications (PMP, Prince2, etc.) are a plus
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
