Senior Engineer - Construction Engineering
About the Role
Walter P Moore is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Construction Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have at least 6+ years of relevant experience in steel design, steel connection design, and erection sequencing analysis. This role requires a high-energy, self-motivated engineer who thrives in a collaborative team environment and can serve clients on major projects across the United States and internationally. A proactive approach and strong customer service mindset are essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform steel design, steel connection design, and erection sequencing analysis.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, institutions, and contractors to meet client and project needs.
- Utilize SAP 2000 for modeling and Tekla/BIM where applicable.
- Demonstrate a "can-do" attitude and strong client-service orientation.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of experience in steel design, steel connection design, and erection sequencing analysis.
- Demonstrated career growth with experience supervising junior staff.
- Master’s in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis strongly preferred.
- P.E. license in your state of residence or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Proficiency in SAP 2000 modeling; Tekla and BIM experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and a proactive mindset.
