Senior Engineer - Construction Engineering
About the Role
Walter P Moore has an immediate opening for a Senior Engineer to join our dynamic Construction Engineering team. The qualified candidate will work within a strong team environment, serving clients on major projects throughout the United States and internationally. Clients include architects, developers, institutions, and contractors. The role requires a high energy level, self-motivation, and a strong "can-do" customer service attitude.
Responsibilities
- Steel design and steel connection design
- Erection sequencing analysis
- Supervision of junior staff
- Proactively meet client and project needs with technical specialization and a customer-service focus
Requirements
- 6–9 years’ experience in steel design, steel connection design, and erection sequencing analysis
- Demonstrated career growth with supervisory experience
- Master’s in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural strongly preferred
- E. license within your residing state, or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months
- SAP 2000 modeling experience required
- Experience with Tekla and Building Information Modeling (BIM) a plus
- Strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Client-service oriented with a proactive approach
Pay
Annual salary ranges by location (actual offer dependent on candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, geographic location, industry experience, and internal equity):
- Denver: $101K – $120K
- Chicago & San Diego: $106K – $126K
- DC, LA & Seattle: $110K – $132K
- NYC: $116K – $138K
- San Francisco: $121K – $144K
Schedule
Hybrid work schedule determined at the team level, offering flexibility and work-life integration.
