About the?Position We’re seeking a senior email marketing coordinator to lead PFI’s email marketing communication by creating, designing, editing and distributing engaging email communications. This role is also responsible for analyzing campaign performance and implementing processes to improve the consistency and efficiency of email marketing. In addition to email marketing, this position supports PFI’s broader digital communications strategy by creating social media content and occasionally updating website content. This position will help PFI expand our network and connect more farmers and landowners to our programming. This position will join the hard-working, curious and ambitious marketing and communications team whose main goal is to help expand PFI’s reach and impact.? Duties Develop stories and content for PFI’s weekly newsletter, Practical NewsEdit, design and layout monthly email newsletters cross-functionally with PFI’s farmer-led education teamDevelop content for PFI’s social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedInDesign and implement processes to ensure consistency and efficiency of email marketing workFacilitate collaboration between departments and teams to achieve project deliverablesManage capacity and budget efficiently to complete marketing workAnalyze email and social media metrics and report resultsRespond to public inquiries, requests for resources and communications across email discussion groups and social mediaSupport digital marketing manager in maintaining PFI websiteOther duties as assigned or volunteered to support department or team projects. Required?Qualifications and Characteristics Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including audience engagement, subscriber list management and newsletter productionThree or more years developing and implementing email marketing campaignsManage and maintain email lists, including keeping subscriber lists accurate and up-to-date and creating segmented lists for campaigns such as events and fundraisingDevelop, document and improve standardized processes for email creation, review, approval, scheduling and distributionExperience writing and publishing social media content in a professional settingStrong understanding of social media best practices and trendsStrong written communication skills with ability to write for diverse audiences and channelsEditing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detailGather content and input from multiple departments and stakeholders to coordinate email production from concept through deploymentStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to establish and maintain governance for organization-wide email communicationsAbility to coordinate cross-functional teams and facilitate timely review and approval of email communicationsAbility to identify trends and recommend strategic improvements to email communication practicesAbility to manage multiple communication channels simultaneously while maintaining quality and consistencyAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlinesAbility to receive feedback and make changesAbility to work independently and within a teamFlexible, adaptable and a self-starterWilling to try new things and learn new skills Desired Qualifications And Characteristics A degree in marketing, communications or related field preferredBasic understanding of agricultural production in IowaExperience using SalesforceExperience using analytics tools to evaluate digital communication performanceExperience with website content management systems, WordPress preferredAbility to respond to member inquiries and fairly enforce community guidelines in a discussion group setting This is a full-time position with potential for hybrid?work.?There is a minimum requirement of one to two days per month at?the?Ames, Iowa,?office?and seasonal travel around Iowa and surrounding states. The?beginning?salary?range?for this position is $55,000-$59,000 with annual opportunity for?salary increases and position advancement.?
