Senior EHS Engineer

About the role

The Senior Environmental Health and Safety Engineer is responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental health and safety regulations. This includes conducting audits, developing policies, and training employees.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular environmental audits and provide recommendations for improvement
• Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency response plans
• Train employees on environmental health and safety procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Manage hazardous waste disposal and recycling programs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in EHS
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with HAZWOPER training and certifications
• Ability to travel up to 25%

Skills

• Strong knowledge of environmental laws and regulations
• Experience with risk assessment and management
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
