About the role
Eaton’s IS AER FMC Aerospace division is currently seeking a Senior EHS Analyst. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 - $120,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
This role requires working on-site daily at our North Charleston, SC. Relocation is not available for this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the contractor management program.
- Complete daily inspections of construction areas to ensure compliance.
- Conduct trainings, periodic toolbox talks, and stand downs.
- Develop and implement site-specific EHS policies and procedures.
- Maintain compliance to the site’s ISO 14001 certification.
- Collect data from various sources and prepare reports for internal and external customers.
- Participate in regulatory inspections and third-party certification audits.
- Facilitate incident reporting, investigation, and communications.
- Monitor progress preventive and corrective actions.
- Facilitate management of change process for new processes, equipment and facility changes.
- Track progress of site’s safety, health and environmental objectives and targets.
- Perform risk assessments.
- Serve as an emergency coordinator and help maintain emergency action plans.
- Motivate and drive culture change/awareness.
- Follow all prescribed safety and environmental principles.
Qualifications
- Required (Basic): Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety from an accredited institution with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an Environmental, Health & Safety discipline within a construction, manufacturing or operations environment. Else, a High School degree with 5 years of same experience.
- Previous construction EHS, permitting, inspection experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an Environmental, Health & Safety discipline within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience with construction EHS, permitting, One (1) year of experience leading and influencing teams in an Environmental, Health & Safety discipline within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in auditing EHS compliance within a manufacturing environment.
- CSP, CHST or equivalent certification.
- First Aid/CPR/AED.
- OSHA 10 or 30-Hour Training.
- Understanding of manufacturing operations and processes.
- Experience in developing and conducting EHS training.
- Technical experience in OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Ability to lead the work of subcontractor staff.
- Experience overseeing EHS for large-scale site expansion/construction projects.
- Ability and willingness to serve as delegated authority for department on a consistent basis, including acting as primary emergency coordinator.
- Ability to use required testing equipment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience working with all functional levels of a business, including organizational leaders.
- Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
