Overview

TETER is seeking a Senior Educational Facilities Planner to lead high-impact master planning efforts that guide millions in public investment. In this role, you’ll help school districts make confident decisions about modernization, growth, and long-range infrastructure strategy.

What You'll Do

  • Lead districtwide facilities master planning and capital programs
  • Guide decisions on modernization, replacement, growth, and consolidation
  • Align enrollment projections and educational programs with facility needs
  • Develop capital improvement plans, including prioritization and phasing
  • Partner with architects and engineers to transition planning into design
  • Present recommendations to leadership teams, boards, and communities
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions

Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years in facilities planning, architecture, or capital programs
  • Experience with K–12 master planning or bond-funded projects
  • Strong ability to translate data into actionable planning strategies
  • Excellent presentation and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience working with or within A/E/C teams

Preferred

  • California public school experience (CDE/DSA familiarity)
  • Experience presenting to boards or executive leadership
  • Professional licensure or advanced degree (a plus, not required)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $115,500–150,000 (actual pay depends on licensure, qualifications, experience, location, and business needs)
