About the role

Senior Architect / Planner – Facilities Master Planning in Fort Worth, Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of facilities, master planning projects focusing on short and long-range needs and priorities
  • Defining and communicating the system view of a facilities master plan, linking facility needs to broader supporting infrastructure and operational realities
  • Translating client goals into practical, phased recommendations guiding near-, mid-, and long-term decisions
  • Facilitating planning conversations with stakeholders to align on future organizational facility needs
  • Developing clear deliverables to help clients understand options, tradeoffs, and timing for informed investment decisions
  • Collaborating with internal technical experts to align planning recommendations with technical feasibility, implementation approach, and long-term resiliency
  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities to strengthen and grow facilities, master planning work
  • Mentoring and guiding team members to deliver consistent, high-quality planning work and improving team execution

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Planning, Facilities Management, or a related field
  • Active Architect's License in the State of Texas
  • 10+ years of experience in architectural practice with progressive responsibility leading complex planning and project delivery efforts
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams while coordinating work across multiple disciplines
  • Strong client relationship, communication, and judgment skills, capable of guiding teams through complex decisions

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field preferred
  • AICP certification preferred
  • Experience leading public-sector facilities master planning pursuits and long-range planning engagements preferred
  • Experience improving team delivery through standards, quality reviews, and repeatable best practices preferred
  • Multi-state licensure or the ability to obtain licensure in additional states preferred
