Senior Drilling Engineer

Duties

  • Vertical and horizontal well planning and design
  • Writing AFEs (Approximate Future Economic Evaluations)
  • Analyzing drilling performance and costs
  • Evaluating vendor performance
  • Investigation and application of new technologies to improve drilling performance and cost efficiencies
  • Working closely and effectively with G&G, Reservoir, Completion, Land, Construction and Regulatory groups
  • Providing up-to-date, detailed performance and cost analysis to Division Management
  • Providing daily Engineering supervisory support and guidance for multiple drilling rig operations & well site supervisors

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering with a preference for Petroleum Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of drilling engineering experience
  • Significant experience in the drilling design and execution of technical horizontal well bores
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to work with field personnel and division staff
  • Strong organizational and supervisory skills
  • Expertise in wide range of drilling applications
  • Ability to make sound decisions quickly on a regular basis
  • Strong computer skills

Position Type

Full Time, Regular

Position will be filled commensurate with experience.
