Duties
- Vertical and horizontal well planning and design
- Writing AFEs (Approximate Future Economic Evaluations)
- Analyzing drilling performance and costs
- Evaluating vendor performance
- Investigation and application of new technologies to improve drilling performance and cost efficiencies
- Working closely and effectively with G&G, Reservoir, Completion, Land, Construction and Regulatory groups
- Providing up-to-date, detailed performance and cost analysis to Division Management
- Providing daily Engineering supervisory support and guidance for multiple drilling rig operations & well site supervisors
Requirements
- BS in Engineering with a preference for Petroleum Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of drilling engineering experience
- Significant experience in the drilling design and execution of technical horizontal well bores
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to work with field personnel and division staff
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills
- Expertise in wide range of drilling applications
- Ability to make sound decisions quickly on a regular basis
- Strong computer skills
