About the role
IDEAYA is a precision medicine oncology company dedicated to discovering, developing, and commercializing transformative therapies for cancer. The Senior Director, Trade, Channel, & Distribution will oversee the launch and ongoing management of the darovasertib distribution network in the US.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute IDEAYA’s US trade, channel, and distribution strategy for darovasertib in metastatic uveal melanoma (mUM)
- Manage the implementation, onboarding, and process development of channel distribution partners
- Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, federal and state laws, and maintain audit readiness
- Monitor inventory levels, product flow, and performance through trade and channel analytics
- Attend customer meetings, manage implementation, and monitor progress; lead business review meetings with channel partners
- Collaborate with Market Access to evaluate and implement contracting strategies with key customer segments
- Co-lead Pricing Committee submissions and approvals, ensuring compliance with required governance and SOPs
- Oversee and ensure compliance with trade agreements, payer and provider contracts
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure timely data reporting and payments to and from customers; review and approve key transactional data/reports including orders and chargebacks
- Design, implement, and manage returned goods policy and processes
- Oversee budgeting and financial planning for all distribution and channel activities, ensuring cost-effective, dynamic execution
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes, pursuing innovative ways to improve treatment and meet patient access needs
Requirements
- BS/BA degree in related discipline and at least 10-15 years of related experience
- Experience in Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry with specialty pharmacy and distribution, channel dynamics, 3PL management, and trade operations
- Experience with rare disease and oral drugs is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success with US commercialization and launches
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to present to diverse stakeholders including external partners, healthcare professionals, and senior leaders
- Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-evolving environment
- In-office role (4x per week) with 30% estimated travel to vendor partners and relevant conferences/meetings as deemed necessary
