About the role
The Senior Director of Remarketing is a newly created leadership position within a rapidly growing commercial truck and equipment organization. The role is designed for an executive with a rare combination of dealership sales leadership, fleet remarketing expertise, and strategic business development experience.
Responsibilities
- Build and execute a comprehensive remarketing strategy across retail, wholesale and auction channels.
- Create the organization’s remarketing playbook, operating processes and infrastructure.
- Develop channel strategies to determine the optimal sales path for each fleet asset and maximize return on investment.
- Lead and develop a multi-state team across retail sales, wholesale remarketing and administrative operations.
- Establish KPIs, reporting frameworks and performance metrics to support continued growth.
- Oversee retail sales strategy, including direct-to-consumer vehicle sales, pricing strategy and customer experience.
- Manage wholesale and auction relationships while identifying opportunities to improve residual value.
- Own departmental P&L performance and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- Build organizational capabilities through hiring, coaching and developing talent.
- Partner cross-functionally to improve inventory management, asset disposition and operational efficiency.
- Travel regularly to maintain strong relationships with teams, stakeholders and business partners.
Requirements
- Extensive leadership experience within automotive remarketing, dealership sales, fleet sales or commercial vehicle operations.
- Proven success leading retail vehicle sales teams and consumer-focused sales strategies.
- Strong understanding of wholesale remarketing, auction strategy, fleet disposition and residual value optimization.
- Experience managing P&L responsibilities and driving revenue growth through strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to build teams, processes and reporting structures in a growing organization.
- Knowledge of vehicle pricing, inventory management, financing solutions, F&I products and warranty offerings.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence executive leadership.
- Comfortable operating in an environment that requires building strategy, processes and infrastructure from scratch.
- Willingness to travel 50-75% during the first year and approximately 50% thereafter.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in automotive remarketing, dealership sales, fleet sales or commercial vehicle operations.
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving revenue growth.
- Experience in developing and executing remarketing strategies across multiple channels.
- Strong understanding of residual value optimization and fleet disposition.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence executive leadership.
- Ability to build and manage a multi-state team.
- Experience in developing and implementing KPIs, reporting frameworks and performance metrics.

Pay
Base salary range: $180K - $250K based on experience.
Schedule
Hybrid work model with 50-75% travel during Year 1 and approximately 50% travel thereafter.
