Senior Director, Public Relations, Content & Brand
Role
Archer is looking for a leader to own how the market hears, reads, and remembers Archer: earned media, executive communications, content, and the brand voice that ties it together. This is a hands-on role for someone who is a writer and a storyteller first and a manager second. You will run a tight two-person team, direct our Public Relations firm and a bench of content contractors, and own the AI agent library that powers the function, so the in-house team focuses on what AI cannot replace: judgment, relationships, and the ideas worth publishing.
About the role
The RoleArcher is looking for a leader to own how the market hears, reads, and remembers Archer: earned media, executive communications, content, and the brand voice that ties it together.
Responsibilities
- Own thought leadership. Build the editorial point of view that positions Archer and its executives as the credible voices in GRC, AI governance, and enterprise compliance, and turn it into a steady cadence of bylines, POVs, and keynote narratives that shape the industry conversation.
- Drive earned media. Direct our Public Relations firm to land coverage in GRC, cybersecurity, and enterprise tech press, secure executive speaking slots, and build presence on emerging news channels like Reddit, X, and Substack where the conversation increasingly starts, growing share of voice within 90 days.
- Build and optimize the AI agent library. Own the build-out, management, and optimization of the function's AI agents for content production and brand voice, setting the output cadence and the human-in-the-loop quality gates that keep accuracy and voice intact.
- Run the content engine. Own content strategy and the editorial calendar end to end, directing content contractors and the AI agent library to hit 3x content velocity while a human owns the call on what gets published.
- Make executives sound exceptional. Own corporate communications, ghostwrite and coach the leadership team for press, analyst briefings, and the main stage, and build the executive social presence that earns them recognition as category authorities.
- Govern the brand voice. Set and enforce brand voice standards across every channel, region, and team, and use the function's AI agents to catch consistency and messaging drift before it ships.
- Measure what earns authority. Track earned coverage, executive recognition, content velocity, and share of voice, and report the trend line quarterly so the program runs on evidence, not anecdotes.
Requirements
- Experience10+ years in PR, communications, content, or brand, with 3+ leading a comms or content function in enterprise B2B SaaS or a regulated technical category.
- Domain fluency in GRC, IRM, compliance, enterprise risk, cybersecurity, or AI governance, deep enough to be credible as a subject matter expert with executives, analysts, and press.
- Demonstrated earned media results in enterprise tech or a comparable space, with established press and analyst relationships.
- Proven track record ghostwriting and coaching executives into recognized industry voices across press, speaking, and social.
- Hands-on editorial and brand leadership, with measurable impact on coverage, share of voice, and content velocity, ideally including governing AI content production with human-in-the-loop quality gates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Skills
- Writer and storyteller with a strong command of language and tone.
- Subject matter expertise in GRC, IRM, compliance, enterprise risk, cybersecurity, or AI governance.
- Strong earned media and public relations skills.
- Ability to manage a small team and oversee external contractors.
- Experience with AI and machine learning tools for content creation and quality assurance.
