Senior Director Product Management | Fort Worth, TX
About the role
The Senior Director Product Management is responsible for managing the product management program for a broad product type of TTI’s product line, minimizing costs and maximizing profits through effective inventory management, enhancing the image of TTI in the marketplace, and achieving corporate sales, gross profit margin, and pre-tax goals.
Responsibilities
- Manages the product management work team to excel in inventory management, profitability, and supplier relationships.
- Hires, trains, and leads qualified people, utilizing effective communication and motivational techniques, providing ongoing performance management, rewards, and training, development, and succession planning.
- Evaluates and revises inventory plans for assigned products and suppliers to meet corporate financial objectives and customer requirements.
- Consults with TTI sales representatives on customer needs, product features, availability, cost issues, etc., to maximize sales representative success.
- Manages processes for budgeting, forecasting, etc., to fully utilize scrap dollars and minimize gross profit leakage.
- Removes obstacles, negotiates major contracts, and provides product solutions/advantages for suppliers, customers, and industry representatives to ensure TTI is the preferred partner.
- Reviews system hygiene for assigned products to ensure accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date product-related information is reflected in TTI systems/databases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent job-related experience preferred.
- A minimum of 10+ years of related industry experience, including experience in sales, sales management, marketing, product management, distribution, asset management, etc.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) at the intermediate level preferred.
Skills
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with inventory management and supply chain optimization.
