About the role

The Senior Director of Product Management will lead the Developer Platform and AI Platform organization at Adobe, a leader in creative and digital experience solutions. This role is crucial for shaping the future of Adobe's platform strategy, ensuring seamless integration of AI and developer tools, and driving innovation across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product portfolio for the Developer Platform, including multi-cloud Kubernetes platforms, API gateways, SDKs, developer tools, and the marketplace of extensions and plugins.
  • Drive adoption metrics and set the vision for the external developer experience, ensuring third-party developers can build rich, performant integrations with Adobe products.
  • Define and implement infrastructure that transforms Adobe from a product suite to a programmable platform, enabling rapid innovation and integration.
  • Lead the vision and strategy for AI-powered developer tools, including code generation assistants, automated testing, CI/CD, knowledge retrieval systems, and agentic workflow tooling.
  • Maintain regular communication with client leaders and engineering teams, providing updates on plans, priorities, and progress, and soliciting feedback.
  • Act as the Chief Marketing Officer for the Developer Platform team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration across the organization.
  • Serve as a voice of the platform, evangelizing its capabilities and use cases to clients and partners, and driving adoption through strategic partnerships and marketing efforts.
  • Build and lead a world-class product management organization, setting the hiring bar, developing career frameworks, and cultivating a culture of rigorous technical thinking and deep customer empathy.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, research, legal, and executive leadership to ensure alignment and effective execution of platform initiatives.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years leading an AI/ML platform or developer platform offering.
  • Experience building or leading platforms consumed by large internal engineering organizations and/or external developer ecosystems.
  • Deep understanding of API design principles, extensibility patterns, multi-tenancy, rate limiting, versioning strategy, and developer trust.
  • Strategic clarity under ambiguity, capable of synthesizing signal from noise and making high-conviction bets with incomplete information.
  • Experience operating in fast-moving domains, such as AI and software development, where the competitive window is measured in months, not years.
  • Organizational leadership at scale, with experience building and leading PM teams of 10+ across multiple product areas.
  • Ability to drive reinvention and adapt to drastic changes in the technology industry, with a passion for re-inventing the software development lifecycle to become AI-first.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Technical fluency in containerized compute, retrieval-augmented generation, LLM fine-tuning strategies, inference optimization, and agentic AI patterns.
  • Experience with AI tooling for internal engineering, including code generation assistants, automated testing, CI/CD, and knowledge retrieval systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across Adobe and with customers to achieve big outcomes.
  • Proven track record of success in leading complex, cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives.

Skills

  • Platform thinking at enterprise scale, with experience in building or leading platforms consumed by large internal engineering organizations and/or external developer ecosystems.
  • AI-native product leadership, with expertise in AI/ML platform and developer platform strategy.
  • Strategic clarity under ambiguity, with the ability to make high-conviction bets with incomplete information and adjust course without losing organizational momentum.
  • Organizational leadership at scale, with experience building and leading PM teams of 10+ across multiple product areas.
  • Driver of reinvention, with a passion for re-inventing the software development lifecycle to become AI-first and collapsing role boundaries.
