About the role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director of Marketing based in the United States. This role offers the opportunity to define and scale the marketing strategy for a mission-driven healthcare organization transforming how complex care is delivered. You will lead brand strategy, lifecycle marketing, and audience engagement initiatives that connect patients, providers, and healthcare partners.
Responsibilities
- Own the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies, strengthening brand presence, driving engagement, and supporting organizational growth.
- Define and execute the overall brand strategy, including positioning, messaging, value propositions, and brand identity across key audiences such as patients, healthcare partners, and providers.
- Partner with leadership and external agencies to shape brand direction, public relations efforts, and market presence.
- Develop and manage integrated content strategies across multiple formats, including thought leadership materials, videos, digital content, educational resources, and industry communications.
- Lead paid media initiatives across platforms such as Meta, LinkedIn, and other targeted channels to increase awareness and engagement.
- Build and optimize earned media, social media, and owned channel strategies across websites, blogs, video platforms, and digital communities.
- Own lifecycle marketing programs designed to move patients through onboarding, activation, engagement, and retention journeys.
- Develop patient communication strategies across channels including direct mail, SMS, outbound outreach, and digital campaigns.
- Oversee creative development for patient-facing materials, ensuring consistent branding and effective communication.
- Establish marketing measurement frameworks, dashboards, reporting processes, and performance tracking to evaluate impact and ROI.
- Manage marketing budgets, resource planning, and quarterly roadmap discussions with cross-functional teams.
- Hire, mentor, and develop a growing marketing team while creating a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support business teams with marketing expertise for patient acquisition, provider communications, and partner-facing materials.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on marketing leader with experience building brands, leading teams, and driving measurable growth within complex or regulated industries.
- 5-7+ years of progressive marketing and brand leadership experience, ideally within healthcare, health technology, or another mission-driven environment.
- Proven experience owning brand positioning and narrative development from strategy through execution across paid, earned, and content channels.
- Demonstrated success running integrated marketing programs with measurable impact on awareness, engagement, and demand generation.
- Experience managing paid media campaigns, public relations initiatives, and external creative, media, or PR agencies.
- Strong background developing content strategies and overseeing production across written, video, and digital formats.
- Experience building thought leadership programs in collaboration with subject matter experts is highly valued.
- Proven people management experience, including hiring, coaching, and developing marketing teams.
- Able to collaborate effectively with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Data Science, Growth, and Operations.
- Experience managing marketing budgets, performance reporting, and ROI measurement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging across different audiences.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to bring structure, processes, and priorities to fast-changing environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with value-based healthcare models, health plans, provider audiences, or consumer marketing is a plus.
