Senior Director of Investor Relations
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Director of Investor Relations will play a critical role in supporting MCB’s institutional investor engagement and fundraising execution efforts. Partnering closely with senior leadership, this individual will help manage and deepen relationships with existing investors, contribute to fundraising initiatives across the platform, and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality investor communications and materials.
JOB ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of MCB’s investment strategies, portfolio, and investor base.
- Provide leadership with insights on investor sentiment, allocation trends, and market developments that inform fundraising priorities and broader business strategy.
- Contribute to the evolution of the Investor Relations function, including team structure, processes, and best practices, in aligned with the firm’s long-term growth objectives.
- Partner cross-functionally with Investments, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Marketing to support industry research, investor messaging, and thought leadership initiatives.
- Support the continued refinement and positioning of the firm’s investor narrative across products and strategies.
- Investor Relations & Fundraising Execution
- Serve as a senior point of contact for institutional investors, supporting relationship management in partnership with senior leadership.
- Support fundraising initiatives across closed-end funds, open-end vehicles, and potential separate accounts.
- Lead the preparation and execution of investor communications, including responses to due diligence requests, DDQs, and RFPs.
- Oversee the coordination of investor diligence materials, data rooms, and meeting logistics.
- Organize and participate in investor meetings, including operational and investment due diligence sessions.
- Partner closely with Legal and Compliance to support fund and separate account closings.
- Manage and report on investor pipeline activity, including preparation of summary materials for firm leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop portfolio analytics, benchmarking analyses, and investor-ready performance materials.
- Content Development & Investor Communications
- Lead the development and enhancement of investor communications and firm marketing materials, including quarterly reporting and investor presentations.
- Support preparation of fundraising materials such as PPMs, pitch decks, and due diligence materials, ensuring institutional quality and consistency.
- Evaluate and support the firm’s visibility through industry publications, conferences, and other external channels, in coordination with senior leadership.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS/ABILITIES
- 7–12+ years of experience in investor relations, fundraising, capital markets, or related roles within private equity real estate or a similar alternative asset class.
- Experience supporting institutional investor relationships and participating in fundraising processes.
- Strong understanding of private markets structures and institutional investor expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality investor service while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Executive presence with the ability to engage effectively with institutional investors and senior leadership.
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, compelling messaging.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

TRAVEL
The role will require periodic travel for investor meetings, conferences, and due diligence activities; expected travel is estimated at approximately 20–30%, subject to fundraising activity and investor needs.
