Senior Director, Investor Relations
About the role
The Sr. Director, Investor Relations will lead investor relations efforts on behalf of Stoke, including the development and implementation of a strategic plan that helps ensure an accurate understanding of the company story (vision, strategy, pipeline, competitive position) and a fair valuation. They will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with investors (current and potential future) and sell-side research analysts. They will serve as the primary point of contact for all investor inquiries, providing timely, consistent, compliant and accurate responses. They will monitor and assess market and sector dynamics as well as all investment research (including models and estimates) on Stoke and its industry peers. They will provide data and metrics-driven insights into the market and competitive landscape, using the information to counsel senior management and guide investor communications and activities. They will provide feedback to management and advise the organization on ways to engage and continuously improve. They will continuously evaluate Stoke’s performance with investors and use data, including keen observation and critical thinking skills, to guide Stoke’s ongoing investor-focused activities. They will partner closely with Finance, Legal and other departments to ensure accurate and appropriate information for financial reporting, including as part of quarterly communications and regular SEC filings. They will partner closely with business partners and collaborators on investor-facing content and disclosures. They will lead the planning and development of road shows, conferences, shareholder meetings, bus tours and one-on-one meetings. They will review, develop and provide input into external communications materials with Wall Street in mind. This includes corporate materials (press releases, presentations, scripts, website content) as well as publications, medical and scientific communications among other content. They will manage the Investor Relations section of the company website and assist with social and digital communications. They will establish and maintain the company’s Investor Relations calendar to ensure consistent news flow delivered with an appropriate cadence. They will manage external agencies and vendors that are supporting investor communications and activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field. Post-graduate degree a plus.
- 12+ years of investor relations in a publicly-traded biotech or pharmaceutical company, preferably for a high-growth organization. Ideal candidate has experience in investor relations, corporate communications, corporate strategy, equity research, investment banking and/or finance.
- Established relationships with industry analysts and institutional investors with a demonstrated ability to successfully manage these relationships. Has a reputation as a trusted IR professional.
- Excellent communications skills: written, verbal and presentation delivery. Experience in financial writing.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively influence, with and without authority.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex information and synthesize and distill information into clear, concise and simple messages that help to effectively communicate the company story.
- Results-driver with proven ability to identify and analyze business dynamics to develop and implement plans to support investor relations activities.
- Strategic thinker and problem solver; intellectually curious and perceptive; able to identify interdependencies and connections across the business; a critical thinker.

- Able to lead, influence and collaborate across the organization and at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Location(s)
Stoke is located in Bedford, MA, and will be moving to a new location in Waltham, MA by the end of 2026. This position is a hybrid position currently based in Bedford and will later be based in Waltham.
Travel
This position will require approximately 20-30% travel.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this role is $268,000 - $308,000. The final offer will be determined based on a variety of factors, including role scope, experience and qualifications, education, market benchmarks, internal equity, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, Stoke offers an annual bonus and equity participation.
