Senior Director of Advancement - College of Arts and Sciences

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage a high-value donor portfolio by cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gifts ($100K+), advancing priorities across 29 departments and 16 academic programs.
• Drive donor engagement nationwide through an ambitious travel and outreach strategy—deepening relationships and maximizing philanthropic potential.
• Partner with college leadership, faculty, and volunteers to align fundraising strategy with institutional goals, leveraging collaboration and innovation for success.
• Support a coordinated advancement program by working closely with colleagues across alumni engagement, annual giving, donor relations, and communications.
• Maintain accurate records and adherence to best practices and policies in donor management, using CRM systems for strategic planning and reporting.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 years of successful major gift fundraising experience, preferably in higher education.
• Proven ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors at the $100K+ level.
• Experience managing a portfolio of donors and developing strategies to maximize philanthropic potential.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of CRM systems and best practices in donor management.
