Position Functions/Responsibilities
- Strategic leadership of the college’s advancement efforts
- Lead the goal setting, planning, and supervision of the Advancement team
- Manage a portfolio of current and prospective donors, focusing on gifts of $50,000+
- Build relationships and maintain a healthy pipeline of donors, alumni, and volunteers
- Travel to visit the Dean and other academic leaders to maximize fundraising potential
- Ensure proper and thorough data entry into UTFI’s CRM system
- Serve as a key partner throughout the College and Division of Advancement, including Planned Giving, Regional, and Corporate fundraisers
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in higher education advancement, preferably in a college or university setting
- A proven track record of successfully managing and growing a donor portfolio
- Experience in developing and implementing fundraising strategies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, alumni, and volunteers
- Proven ability to manage a team and delegate responsibilities effectively
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Knowledge of CRM systems and database management
Qualifications
The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree and possess:
- A master’s degree in a related field preferred
- Experience in higher education fundraising and development
- Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising principles and practices
- Experience working with a variety of donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations
- Experience in grant writing and proposal development

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel as needed

Pay
Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 annually
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed
