Senior Director of Advancement, College of Nursing

Position Functions/Responsibilities

  • Strategic leadership of the college’s advancement efforts
  • Lead the goal setting, planning, and supervision of the Advancement team
  • Manage a portfolio of current and prospective donors, focusing on gifts of $50,000+
  • Build relationships and maintain a healthy pipeline of donors, alumni, and volunteers
  • Travel to visit the Dean and other academic leaders to maximize fundraising potential
  • Ensure proper and thorough data entry into UTFI’s CRM system
  • Serve as a key partner throughout the College and Division of Advancement, including Planned Giving, Regional, and Corporate fundraisers

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in higher education advancement, preferably in a college or university setting
  • A proven track record of successfully managing and growing a donor portfolio
  • Experience in developing and implementing fundraising strategies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, alumni, and volunteers
  • Proven ability to manage a team and delegate responsibilities effectively
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and database management

Qualifications

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree and possess:

  • A master’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience in higher education fundraising and development
  • Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising principles and practices
  • Experience working with a variety of donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations
  • Experience in grant writing and proposal development

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed
