Senior Director, Marketing Analytics
About the Role
We are establishing a new Global Marketing Analytics function. The Sr. Director, Marketing Analytics will connect key business insights, consumer trends, financial insights, and KPIs to brand and market strategies. This role drives long-term strategic planning by increasing visibility of sales trends through regular reporting, analyses, and market research, informing marketing strategy, innovation, and marcom teams. The position oversees all data sources, ensures data validity, and provides consumer purchase trend visibility through accessible reporting and tools. It also executes strategic business analyses, sizes product opportunities, aligns with financial goals, and oversees ad-hoc market research. This global department head role is heavily cross-functional, collaborating with marketing, finance, operations, and local markets to ensure measurable success.
Responsibilities
- Proactively lead the department as a representative of Global Marketing, driving thought leadership on how data and analytics support business strategies and SVP initiatives.
- Develop a reporting strategy for internal and external reports, including retail sales reporting, NPD/Beauté rankings, market share tracking, new launch performance, and category mix of business.
- Partner with Sr. Director, Global Marketing Strategy to support long-term planning strategies and processes.
- Collaborate with Marketing Strategy category leaders to support strategy development across products and promotions worldwide.
- Develop a Global Marketing scorecard for performance metrics across all markets and drive KPIs on performance marketing in alignment with the Director of MarComs.
- Support U.S. and China markets with market-specific insights on business, competitive, and performance marketing.
- Create data visualization and storytelling to support marketing presentations to executive leadership and LVMH Leadership.
- Provide a data-driven point of view on ambitions for new products, promotions, categories, benefit territories, and total business using internal and external insights.
- Monitor sell-in and sell-through trends to provide ongoing input on SKU productivity and portfolio management, aligning global and regional teams on assortment strategy.
- Proactively analyze the business in creative ways to provide insights across categories, regions, retailers, and functions.
- Spearhead bi-annual competitive pricing analysis and develop processes for new product pricing and price changes to meet Global Finance business model needs.
- Supervise market research efforts required to answer key business questions.
- Partner with key cross-functional leaders and the Executive Team to provide analytics support as needed.
- Train global and regional teams on viewing and using new reporting and data visualization tools (Power BI).
- Translate marketing and business needs into data requirements for IT systems teams.
- Mentor and develop two direct reports to build functional, management, and leadership skill sets.
Requirements
- 12-15 years of experience in analytics with multidimensional data sets, tools, interfaces, and visualization, including problem-solving, performance marketing, ROI analysis, and strategy building through data insights.
- Prior experience in management consulting or banking preferred.
- Expertise in technical analytics and data visualization (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
- Proven experience translating retail sales trends into thoughtful insights.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $195,000 - $245,000 USD.
