About the role
Ontic is seeking a dynamic and highly respected Senior Director, GSOC Practice Leader to shape and scale modern Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) programs across enterprise and public sector organizations.
Responsibilities
- Accelerate Strategic Sales
Partner with Sales and Go-To-Market teams to support strategic enterprise opportunities by bringing deep GSOC domain expertise and operational credibility to the sales process. - As a consultative subject matter expert, help clients envision the transformation from siloed tools and manual processes to a unified, intelligence-led GSOC model.
- Support expansion opportunities by advising current clients on advancing from basic use cases to fully integrated, enterprise-wide operational maturity.
- Drive Customer Retention and Expansion
Work closely with Client Success and Sales leaders to proactively support key accounts with advisory workshops, maturity assessments, and strategic refresh sessions. - Offer best-practice consulting on topics such as: 24/7 operational models, analyst tiering and escalation frameworks, metrics and executive dashboards, crisis and incident command integration, intelligence-to-operations workflows.
- Identify adjacent use cases (workplace violence prevention, insider risk, threat monitoring, executive protection) that naturally expand Ontic’s footprint.
- Elevate Market Credibility & Industry Leadership
Serve as a public-facing authority on modern GSOC strategy and cyber-physical convergence. - Represent Ontic at industry conferences, executive roundtables, webinars, and analyst briefings.
- Contribute to thought leadership on topics like intelligence-led GSOCs, platform strategy, AI-driven security operations, technology tools, security convergence, and operational effectiveness.
- Design & Evangelize Modern GSOC Programs
Develop and codify a programmatic framework for building and scaling high-performing GSOCs within complex global enterprises. - Advisory clients on: Centralized vs. regionalized GSOC models, multi-site operations across global time zones, governance, risk, and compliance integration, vendor consolidation strategies, technology stack rationalization.
- Guide clients through change management efforts required to modernize legacy operations.
- Help organizations mature from reactive monitoring centers to proactive, intelligence-driven security hubs.
- Influence the Product Roadmap
Leverage hands-on experience with critical GSOC tools, including: case management platforms, threat intelligence platforms, PSIM systems, access control and video management systems (VMS), incident management and notification tools, GRC platforms, data visualization and executive reporting tools. - Provide structured feedback to Ontic’s product teams on workflow design, automation, scale-readiness, integrations, and analyst usability.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure Ontic continues to meet the real-world operational needs of 24/7 global security teams.
- Advocate for innovation in AI-driven intelligence enrichment, workflow orchestration, and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
- 12–15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Global Security Operations, GSOC management, corporate security, intelligence operations, or enterprise risk management.
- Direct experience leading or transforming a GSOC within a large global enterprise (multi-region, multi-site operations).
- Deep familiarity with the technology ecosystem that powers modern GSOCs, including case management, intelligence platforms, PSIM, access control, VMS, incident response tools, and data analytics platforms.
- Proven success designing and scaling 24/7 operations, developing SOPs, KPIs, and executive reporting frameworks.
- Experience navigating global regulatory, cultural, and operational complexities.
- Strong understanding of cyber-physical convergence and cross-functional coordination between security, legal, HR, compliance, and IT.
- Comfort operating at the executive level, advising CSOs, CISOs, and C-suite stakeholders with credibility and strategic clarity.
- Experience in enterprise SaaS environments, product advisory roles, or security technology deployment at scale is strongly preferred.
- Prior public sector or federal experience is a plus.
