About the role
We are seeking a Senior Director of Contracting to lead and scale our end-to-end contracting function across client, provider, channel partner, and vendor agreements. This role will be responsible for establishing operational excellence, driving consistency and quality in contract execution, and ensuring a seamless experience for internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the end-to-end contracting function across all agreement types (client, provider, vendor, and partner)
- Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable contracting processes, governance, and service models
- Establish clear SLAs, prioritization frameworks, and performance metrics for contracting activities
- Drive operational excellence across the full contract lifecycle, from intake through execution
- Contracting Strategy & Operations
- Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) Ownership
- Team Leadership & Development
- Contract Review & Risk Oversight
- Template, Playbook & Governance Ownership
- Cross-Functional Partnership & Stakeholder Leadership
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in contracting, legal operations, or a related function within healthcare
- 5+ years of people leadership experience, including managing managers or senior individual contributors
- Deep experience managing multiple contract types within the healthcare space (e.g., client/customer, vendor, partner agreements)
- Strong understanding of contract structures, negotiation strategies, and risk management
- Experience with contract lifecycle management systems (e.g., Ironclad)
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record of building or scaling contracting or deal desk functions
- Experience partnering closely with Legal and executive stakeholders
- Operational mindset with the ability to translate strategy into execution
- Experience developing templates, playbooks, and contracting governance frameworks
Pay
The annual salary range for NYC-based applicants is: $180,000 - $195,000.
