Senior Director, Business Development (M&A)

About the role
The Senior Director, Business Development will partner directly with GE HealthCare senior executives and business leaders to identify, evaluate, and execute acquisitions, strategic investments, partnerships, and divestitures that accelerate growth and strengthen our global leadership position.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of Business Development transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments, partnerships/alliances, and licensing opportunities
- With oversight from Managing Director, independently lead most phases of the transaction process including analysis of strategy and markets, target identification and screening, structuring, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and closing
- Lead strategy and transaction conversations with business and functional leadership
- Support prioritization of global market segment requirements, perform gap analysis to business unit portfolio, and define strategic and tactical steps to best position segment for accelerated growth
- Work with BD and segment leadership to manage communication and alignment with key internal stakeholders to support effective decision making and transaction approval processes
- Proactively mentor and develop junior team members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, Life Sciences or Medicine
- Minimum eight years of experience with a minimum of six years of relevant business development experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, licensing, divestitures, or joint ventures in a corporate, investment banking, or consulting environment
- Experience supporting and/or leading all elements of the transaction process including: analyzing strategy and markets, identifying and screening targets, structuring, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and closing
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in the medtech industry

Pay
For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $224,000.00-$336,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. This position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
