Senior Director, Adaptive Mission Logistics

VTG is seeking a Senior Digital Transformation Lead to drive project leadership, growth, operations, and execution performance for Air Systems Digital Transformation projects. This role supports the identification, qualification, proposal response, and execution of new contracts within the Federal Government, specifically the Department of Defense (DoW) Air Systems.

Responsibilities

• Advance the Adaptive Mission Logistics Line of Business for Air Systems, focusing on Digital Transformation, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Operational Readiness for Air Systems/Air Frames.
• Understand the DoW market through qualification and capture of opportunities.
• Lead and execute responses to proposals for opportunities.
• Provide strong project leadership, solution comprehension, and client-facing skills.
• Oversee all projects and requirements to ensure successful execution.
• Source new ideas from internal teams, external advisers, or consultants.
• Communicate financial performance of projects, including resources, ODCs, and travel.
• Develop Digital Transformation solutions, project financials, and workforce staffing forecasts.
• Conduct comprehensive monthly program business reviews for all projects.
• Identify opportunities for improving quality, efficiency, and cost savings across Air Systems and related Commands.
• Clearly communicate project achievements, growth areas, and account updates to management.
• Keep management informed of customer and competitor environments.
• Promote and ensure compliance with corporate operational policies and standards.
• Contribute to defining and implementing the vision and strategic roadmap for a growth-oriented organization.
• Identify federal government customer requirements and resulting business opportunities.
• Manage key partner relationships, from routine to moderately complex arrangements.
• Participate in Government/Industry forums and trade shows to cultivate business opportunities.
• Contribute to or lead pipeline development, capture strategies, and proposal development.

Requirements

• 12+ years of related experience in Digital Transformation, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, or Engineering services with demonstrated project performance.
• Experience with Air Systems, Air Frames, and related Commands (e.g., NAVAIR, USAF).
• Proven experience in strategic planning, execution, and results.
• Knowledge of the federal business acquisition process.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; thorough, clear, and timely oral and written communications.
• Ability to make formal presentations.
• Demonstrated subject matter credibility.
• Strong attention to detail and superior time management and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); PowerBI and Power Automate are a plus.
• Eligibility for U.S. security clearance.
• Willingness to travel.

Pay

VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $165,000 - $190,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations, and may include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
