About the role
We are looking for a Senior, proactive DevOps / DevEx Engineer to join our engineering team and help build and scale the internal development platform. You would be building the tools, services, and automation that empower the rest of our engineering team to ship safely and fast.
Responsibilities
- Build and scale internal development platform tools, services, and automation
- Improve existing tools and automation
- Ship major initiatives and have a positive impact in the engineering team
- Collaborate closely with other engineers, understanding their pain points and becoming involved in the roadmap and prioritization of new initiatives
- Be the go-to expert for our internal platforms, services, and infrastructure abstractions
- Lead AI tool adoption across the engineering org, following established patterns for safety and simplicity
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, DevEx, or Platform Engineering with a heavy emphasis on software development
- Proactive: See what is needed, take action, and own problems to turn them into solutions
- Loves building frameworks, abstractions, and automation: Make something so easy and joyful to use that nobody wants to use anything else
- AI-curious: Understand how LLMs and AI coding tools are changing engineering and want to help a world-class team leverage them effectively
- Moves fast, tests, and iterates quickly
Qualifications
- Experience with AWS cloud
- Knowledge of k8s
- Experience with Docker
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Experience with Python for IaC
