About the role

The Senior Development Coordinator is an integral member of the Giving and Fundraising Administration teams, responsible for conducting a full range of development activities that strengthen fundraising efforts. This includes moves management, donor and prospect research, planning and executing cultivation and stewardship events, tracking donor relationships, scheduling gift officers' interactions, gift processing, and gift agreement administration.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with gift officers on moves management; ensure updates to meeting materials, the Blackbaud CRM donor database (TRAX), and other systems to capture all team activities.
  • Conduct follow-ups from meetings, liaise with individuals and teams, schedule internal and external meetings, request deliverables, prospect research, and event briefings.
  • Collaborate across functions as a critical connector between gift officers and teams, including the Office of the Executive Vice President, Prospect Research, Development Communications, Stewardship, Fundraising Analytics and Data Services, and other Giving team members to enhance transparent communication.
  • Serve as a thought partner to evaluate and recommend process improvements across the department.
  • Manage daily operations supporting gift officers, including complex scheduling, calendar management, communications, correspondence drafting/editing, travel and meeting logistics, expense reports, reimbursements, requisitions, vendor payments, mail merges, and workflow prioritization.
  • Assist with cultivation and stewardship event/tour planning and execution as a project manager, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish, including post-event follow-up.
  • Collaborate with Development Communications on drafting, editing, and designing donor proposals, stewardship reports, and touchpoints.
  • Prepare gift transmittals and partner with the Gift Administration team to ensure timely processing of various gift types.
  • Run reports in TRAX to facilitate fundraising efforts and prepare regular fundraising progress reports.
  • Support donor engagement strategies by preparing meeting materials, writing proposals, and participating in physician meetings, donor cultivation, and frontline donor conversations.
  • Serve as the front-line data steward, ensuring data quality and integrity in TRAX, including documenting all development activity related to donor/prospect cultivation, gift solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Partner with the Development Legal team to prepare draft complex gift agreements and track tasks associated with committed gifts.
  • Work with gift officers, development team members, department/division administrators, and physicians to prepare donor proposals, reports, and budgets.
  • Perform prospect research on donors, prospects, and potential funding sources using available research tools.
  • Prepare donor briefings and maintain institutional documents such as organization budgets, tax documents, and attachments for grant applications.
  • Assist with producing in-house mailings, letters, updates, and invitations to prospects and donors.
  • Develop proficiency in systems, including online project management tools, and partner with the Development Legal team to track tasks associated with committed gifts.
  • Process expense reports, requisitions, and vendor payments.
  • Manage and participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 4-5+ years of related experience.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $66,299.99 - $80,000.00 annually. Actual salaries depend on factors such as experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. This range does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
