About the role
The Pantheon Developer Relations Department is offering a full-time position for a Senior Developer Advocate, focused on illustrating professional usage of Next.js on Pantheon.
Responsibilities
- Write blog posts that take a clear point of view on technologies integrated with Pantheon.
- Owns the quality of technical content and helps drive documentation efforts.
- Advise a limited set of individual customers in one-on-one discussions.
- Record video tutorials and prepare webinars, technical presentations and workshops that demonstrate product usage.
- Simplify technical information: Translate complex technical concepts into clear and colloquial language suitable for users with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Actively participate in relevant online and offline community discussions.
- Speak at conferences about best practices.
- Oversee open source projects maintained by Pantheon.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to prioritize upcoming features.
- Provide early feedback on forthcoming features.
- Leads team discussions and provides guidance and mentorship on areas of subject matter expertise to fellow team members and the broader community.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience working in web development.
- Significant experience creating technical content for a developer audience.
- Experience building and maintaining high-quality Next.js sites.
- Experience authoring and maintaining npm packages.
- A track record of effective public communication through channels like conference presentations and blog posts.
- Familiarity with, and perspective upon, the rising and falling trends in web architectures and JavaScript frameworks.
- Ability to build cross-functional partnerships and relationships.
- Comfort engaging directly with customers in venues like video calls, Slack, and conference booths.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with the tools of open source collaboration.

Pay
The US base salary range for this position in the United States is $126,000 - $175,000 USD per year.
