Senior Design Estimator

The Estimating Department at Butler leverages industry-shaping products and innovative strategies to drive sustainable sales and financial results. We are committed to fostering strong customer relationships while pursuing equitable growth in pre-engineered buildings and services.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver quotations and pre-order assistance for high-complexity projects (450 to 600 hours +/-) with minimal oversight and quality assurance checks.
• Collaborate with sales leadership to develop pricing strategies and provide critical input on final pricing.
• Lead training sessions to improve understanding of pricing software capabilities among team members and builders.
• Act as a mentor and leader within the estimating team, guiding and developing junior and intermediate estimators.
• Continuously improve quote hit ratio and identify opportunities to enhance profitability.
• Drive the development of estimating best practices and ensure consistency in the estimation process.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related engineering field, 5+ Years of Experience in Steel Design or Pre-Engineered Metal Building Estimating/Design, Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, Strong communication and teamwork abilities, Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong technical background preferred, Proficiency in estimating and pricing software, Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings, Experience in pre-engineered metal building projects.
