Senior Design Estimator

Essential Job Accountabilities

• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
• Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
• Works with CAD Designers and Sales Team to design and develop solutions
• Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements
• Solves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
• Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Maintains cost database by entering and backing up data

Requirements

• Required Education, Skills and Experience: BS/BA degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred; minimum 5-7 years experience designing or estimating MHE technologies and storage solutions; experience working with cross-functional teams on large projects; detail oriented with superb time management; strong communication skills - clear and concise interpersonal verbal and written; computer literacy - AutoCad, Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project; must be able to thrive and succeed in an innovative environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity; experience with one or more of the following major conveyor manufacturers: Intelligrated, Dematic, Automotion, Hytrol, TGW; analyzing information, estimating, planning, reporting research results, strategic planning, attention to detail, informing others, requirements analysis

Other Requirements/Comments

• Intermittent travel to KPI client/vendor sites (up to 10%) required as necessary.
