Senior, Data Analyst - Transportation Continuous Improvement
Position Summary
The Senior Data Analyst, Transportation Continuous Improvement helps identify areas of loss through analytics within transportation and leads implementation of lean methodologies to reduce loss, as well as develop, implement, and control process improvement.
About the team
The Transportation Continuous Improvement team specializes in identifying inefficiencies through detailed data analysis and leading process enhancements using lean methodologies. Collaborating across functions, the team develops, implements, and monitors improvements that enhance operational efficiency. Members utilize advanced data analysis, visualization, and quality management techniques to support informed business decisions and optimize transportation processes. The team emphasizes clear communication, strategic problem-solving, and continuous improvement to deliver measurable results that align with organizational goals.
What you'll do
- Advanced Analytics: Analyze complex datasets, develop visualizations, and deliver insights that inform strategic decisions and improve business performance.
- Influence & Collaboration: Build credibility through lateral and upward influence, partnering across teams to drive alignment, process optimization, and data-driven decisions.
- Planning: Translate strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps, key metrics, and execution plans that drive organizational change.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and zero-loss principles to improve processes, reduce costs, and identify scalable growth opportunities.
What you'll bring
- Data visualization experience with tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
- Strong exploratory data analysis skills and ability to make analytical, data driven recommendations and solutions.
- Project Management experience with end-to-end ownership of projects.

- Transportation or supply chain experience a plus.

Minimum Qualifications
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
- Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Option 3: 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Data science, data analysis, statistics, or related field, Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Related industry experience (for example, retail, merchandising, healthcare, eCommerce).
- Successful completion of assessments in data analysis and Business Intelligence tools and scripting languages (for example, SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, R, Power BI, or Tableau).
