Senior Data Analyst (HPM_mj)

About the role

The position will work with a multi-disciplinary team of investigators, research assistants, and data analysts on research projects related to pregnancy health outcomes, with a particular focus on Medicaid populations. The data scientist will be responsible for coordinating data acquisition and analyses. Additionally, the data scientist will contribute to dissemination of research findings by participating in drafting publications and presentation materials.

Responsibilities

• Oversees large, complex data sets and utilizes advanced programming methods and statistical software for raw data extraction and aggregation, statistical analysis, and document programming to create analytic data files.
• Creates statistical reports; assists with manuscripts, grants, and regulatory submissions.
• Maintains data infrastructure and tracks data assets.
• Adheres to all protocols.

Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in health policy, economics, maternal and child health, epidemiology, or related fields with a Master's Degree.
• At least 10 years of related work experience in health policy, economics, maternal and child health, epidemiology, or related fields with a Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience with SAS, STATA or R programming.
• A working knowledge of simple, descriptive statistical procedures.
• Excellent scientific writing skills.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in health policy, economics, maternal and child health, epidemiology, or related field.
• Bachelor's Degree in health policy, economics, maternal and child health, epidemiology, or related field with at least 10 years of related work experience.
