About the role

The Senior Data Analyst will play a critical part in transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that guide performance and strategic decision-making across Specialty Dental Brands' growing, multi-site organization.

Responsibilities

  • Pull and analyze data primarily from the enterprise data warehouse, using source systems—including EHR, practice management, finance, and HRIS platforms—as the underlying systems of record.
  • Clean, validate, and interpret complex datasets to generate meaningful and reliable business insights.
  • Design, build, and maintain advanced data models that support enterprise initiatives such as patient retention, provider productivity, operational efficiency, and accounting and finance functions.
  • Translate data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for clinical and business leaders.
  • Partner with IT and Business Intelligence teams to strengthen data infrastructure, improve reporting processes, and expand access to reliable information.
  • Use statistical and predictive modeling techniques to forecast trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate across departments to define key performance indicators, reporting standards, and measurement frameworks.
  • Present analyses and insights through reports, presentations, and interactive dashboards, primarily using Power BI.
  • Support data integrity, governance, and compliance with healthcare privacy requirements, including HIPAA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Candidates with an Accounting or Finance background and strong technical, analytical, and data-reporting capabilities are encouraged to apply.
  • A traditional computer science or highly technical degree is not required.
  • Five or more years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a multi-site healthcare, dental, medical, or similarly complex business environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Excel, and data modeling.
  • Experience working with enterprise data warehouses and interpreting data from multiple underlying business systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-storytelling skills, with the ability to turn complex findings into practical business recommendations.
  • Experience working with EHR, dental practice management, financial, accounting, or HRIS data is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate, trustworthy data.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with technical and nontechnical partners across the organization.
