Senior Data Analyst
About the Role
Partner Forces is seeking a Data & Technology Analyst to support a Department of Homeland Security cybersecurity program. We’re looking for someone who combines strong analytical skills with the communication and consulting skills needed to work directly with customers, understand their needs, and turn data into meaningful insights. This role will initially focus on data analysis, reporting, visualization, and development of analytic products, with the opportunity to evolve into broader technical program and PMO support. The right person does not need to be a software developer, but should be technically curious, comfortable working alongside technical teams, and able to understand and translate conversations about data, systems, and technology.
What You'll Do
- Analyze program and operational data to identify trends, insights, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop dashboards, reports, visualizations, and other analytic products that make complex information easier to understand and act on.
- Engage directly with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate those needs into useful data and technology solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Support recurring and ad hoc reporting and help improve or automate existing reporting processes.
- Work alongside technical teams to understand requirements, dependencies, risks, and priorities across data and software initiatives.
- Support technical program management activities, including tracking requirements, decisions, deliverables, action items, and project progress.
- Participate in technical discussions involving databases, data schemas, software systems, integrations, and related technologies.
- Support data governance, documentation, process development, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Adapt to evolving program needs and take on new responsibilities as the program and technical environment mature.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Secret clearance required.
- Experience in data analysis, business analytics, program analysis, or a related field.
- Strong data visualization and storytelling skills, with experience developing reports, dashboards, or other analytic products.
- Experience working directly with customers or stakeholders to gather, clarify, and translate requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Experience with or exposure to Python or R; advanced programming expertise is not required.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability and interest in learning new systems, technologies, and technical concepts.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Power BI, Databricks, ServiceNow, Power Automate, or similar tools preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with database concepts, data schemas, data governance, or software development environments preferred.
- ServiceNow administration or development experience is a plus.
- Previous experience supporting federal government clients or exposure to cybersecurity programs is a plus.
