Senior Cyber Program Manager

About the role

The Senior Cyber Program Manager within the Cyber Execution and Transformation team at Capital One is responsible for enabling continued delivery on top technology organization priorities. The ideal candidate will have experience with problem solving, critical thinking, and exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Help deliver Cyber capabilities that enhance Capital One customer experiences, such as AI, Data Protection, Cyber Operations, and Security Information and Event Management, Cloud Security, and Cyber Governance and Risk.
• Lead a team of program managers and contribute to the development of Cyber capabilities.
• Work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to ensure successful project delivery.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, design, and data science representatives to simplify technically complex issues and make well-informed decisions.
• Manage and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Build highly scalable platforms, products, or services with a strong technical background.
• Implement Cyber Operations technologies and build systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment.
• Work with AI technologies to develop and deploy innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 6 years of experience in program management
• At least 3 years of people management experience

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering) or Program Management
• Experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
• Experience delivering Cybersecurity solutions and capabilities
• Experience building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services/architecture using AWS
• Experience building highly scalable mobile products and platforms
• Experience with Agile delivery
• Experience delivering large and complex programs owning the business or technical vision, collaborating with large cross-functional teams, securing commitments on deliverables, and unblocking teams to achieve business impact
• Experience implementing Cyber Operations technologies
• Experience working with AI technologies

Pay

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800 for Sr Manager, Project Management
