Work independently under limited supervision, providing custodial and specialized cleaning support across campus.
Respond to customer needs and requests using personal judgment and applying previous experience and knowledge of established practices and procedures.
Respond to campus crises situations to enhance public safety and minimize infrastructure damage.
Respond to emergency calls and assist with snow and ice removal.
Work in restricted access areas requiring specialized procedures, training, or certification.

18 months of custodial experience with 3 years of total work experience
Completed Building Services Custodial Development Program, or enrolled within 90 days of hire
Able to supervise and train small (3 – 10) groups
Able to read, write, and speak English; effective communication skills required
Able to read, write, and perform basic mathematics
Knowledge of policies and procedures regarding building maintenance and security
Working knowledge of power and non-powered floor care equipment
Ability to lift and carry 25-50 lbs. frequently, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally required
Ability to work efficiently and professionally in a fast-paced and diverse team setting
Will work outdoors 10% of the time in temperatures below 32 degrees or above 90 degrees
Valid US or Canadian driver's license
