Senior Crop Insurance Claims Auditor
About the role
Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Senior Crop Insurance Claims Auditor in our AgriSompo National Operations team. This position will be remote and may be based in any of the following states: Kansas, Iowa, Montana, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Colorado, Minnesota, or Nebraska.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently audit and process crop insurance claims to meet quality, compliance, and production standards.
- Communicate with underwriters, adjusters, agents, and producers to ensure timely resolution of claim-related issues.
- Work independently and collaboratively to identify issues, evaluate solutions, and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Research and interpret policy guidance and reference materials, including Loss Adjustment Manuals (LAM), policy provisions, Standard Operating Procedures, and other internal resources.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and internal policies and procedures in all claim activities.
- Handle a range of crop claims, including moderate to advanced complexity.
- Investigate and resolve complex claims issues with limited supervision while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
Requirements
5+ years of crop insurance experience preferred.
Prior experience in crop insurance claims auditing and processing preferred.
Strong understanding of Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) policies and ability to apply them in practice preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general technical/computer systems.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

$55,000 – $68,000
