Senior Counsel Operations
Job Summary and Qualifications
The Senior Operations Counsel will provide day-to-day legal support to assigned facilities and/or service lines, and will coordinate with other corporate departments.
This role will support a hospital division and/or one or more service lines or corporate departments, working closely with leadership and providing legal representation.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on physician and referral source relationships and related legal issues, including, but not limited to, the Stark Law and the Anti-kickback Statute, contract review.
- Support legal evaluation and deployment of corporate strategic initiatives.
- Analyze contract compliance, review, and approve referral source contracts.

Education & Experience
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from ABA accredited law school & active membership in at least one state bar is required.
- 10+ years of experience in /as legal counsel to healthcare systems/providers, with strong preference for experience directly supporting hospitals is preferred.
- Admission to the Tennessee bar or admission to another state bar with ability to obtain Tennessee in-house counsel registration promptly is required.
