Senior Counsel- Business Operations

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal counsel for assigned Peraton business sectors.
• Provide front-line legal advice and support on a wide range of activities, including:
• Contracting: proposals, prime and subcontract agreements, and other specialized agreements
• Employment: screening, counseling, internal investigations, and adverse action matters
• Intellectual Property: commercial licensing, agreements, and technical data rights
• Compliance: corporate governance, training, internal investigations, and external regulatory reporting
• Litigation: contract disputes, bid protests, and employment or other civil litigation
• Collaborate with Legal Department colleagues and outside counsel to ensure comprehensive, high-quality legal support to the business.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar. If not admitted in Virginia, must be eligible for admission as Virginia Corporate Counsel.
• Minimum of 16 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 10 years post-J.D.
• Possession of or eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
