Senior Counsel - Commercial Operations

About the Role

The Senior Counsel - Global Commercial Operations provides legal guidance on promotion, sales, patient support programs, contracting, and scientific exchange related to biopharmaceutical products in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and approving promotional, educational, and support materials and programs
• Advising on sales and marketing strategies and scientific exchange approaches
• Providing guidance on government enforcement actions and regulatory compliance
• Training commercial staff on legal and regulatory requirements
• Counseling on complex commercial transactions with healthcare entities, emphasizing anti-kickback, false claims, and antitrust laws
• Analyzing and advising on precision medicine programs involving complex diagnostics

Requirements

• J.D. or LL.M. degree, bar admission, and at least 4 years of legal practice
• Preferred 6+ years in healthcare/life sciences legal counsel
• Expertise in healthcare fraud, FDA regulations, OIG guidance, DOJ settlements, Medicare/Medicaid, and complex legal analysis
• Strong communication, negotiation, client service, and project management skills
• Experience with precision medicine programs and complex diagnostics is advantageous
