Senior Counsel, Employment and Litigation

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Counsel, Employment and Litigation to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will serve as a trusted legal partner on employment matters, litigation, and cross-functional workplace decisions that shape day-to-day operations. You will advise leaders and the People team on hiring, performance, exits, benefits, compensation, and policies that support a distributed workforce. The position also includes practical guidance on AI use in employee-facing workflows, as well as support for commercial disputes and adjacent legal matters in a fast-moving healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide actionable advice on hiring, performance management, and exit processes
• Support remote workforce strategy and cross-border employment issues
• Collaborate with the People team and outside counsel on benefits and compensation
• Manage and resolve employment-related disputes and litigation
• Assist with commercial disputes involving the company and its subsidiaries
• Advise on compliant AI usage in employee-facing functions
• Anticipate legal changes and provide practical guidance
• Maintain scalable policies and training programs with the People team

Qualifications

• J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 8+ years of experience in employment law and managing investigations and disputes
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and across various legal matters
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent judgment with cross-functional collaboration abilities
• Experience advising on AI use in employment contexts
• Flexibility for adjacent work in commercial contracts
• Preferred experience advising healthcare-related organizations
