Senior Cost Accountant

The Role

Sarepta Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our Finance team. This position will handle financial aspects of inventory and manufacturing operations for both commercial and clinical programs, including cost accounting. Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and completing monthly journal entries with supporting documentation
• Collaborating with various business partners for project tracking, manufacturing updates, purchase order creation, accounts payable, receiving, shipping, etc.
• Reconciling and analyzing general ledger accounts
• Aiding in the preparation of materials for audits and quarterly reviews, including interactions with auditors
• Working with Supply Chain to analyze and reconcile inventory CMO reports
• Preparing monthly inventory reports, including inventory roll-forward, account reconciliations, and work order variances
• Analyzing monthly purchase price and manufacturing variances
• Collaborating with the Technical Accounting group to ensure proper accounting treatment
• Assisting with physical inventory and cycle counts at various locations
• Maintaining oversight of inventory movement and transactions such as work order completions, material receipts, and product cost of goods sold
• Supporting the development of standard costs
• Contributing to SOX compliance efforts, maintaining detailed control documentation
• Evaluating and improving processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a life science/pharma industry
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory, and cost accounting
• Experience with Oracle ERP applications, especially Oracle Fusion
• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP applicable to a manufacturing environment
• Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in Excel-based modeling
• Outstanding organizational and project management abilities, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively
• Proven problem-solving skills, adept at resolving issues within a team

Pay and Schedule

The targeted salary range for this position is $94,800 - $118,500 per year.
