Job Description
This role is a unique opportunity to be part of a high-performing team in the Accounting + Finance industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad spectrum of financial and accounting matters affecting our company.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial reporting for cost, inventory, and sales analysis, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Participate in the monthly close process, preparing journal entries and closing associated Oracle Modules related to Revenue, Cost of Sales and Inventory.
- Prepare all post-closing inventory analysis and supporting schedules including the monthly reconciliation of perpetual inventory records to the general ledger.
- Conduct detailed cost and margin analysis to drive margin improvement across the business.
- Collaborate with Planning, Supply Chain, and Operations managers to optimize inventory performance.
- Prepare the key manufacturing metrics monthly highlighting key trends.
- Prepare and analyze sales forecasts, integrating actuals, backlog, and projections.
- Oversee cycle counts, physical inventory processes, and variance analysis, identifying key trends.
- Provide critical ad-hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, Master’s degree or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Margin Analysis, Manufacturing Accounting, Oracle and other financial software.
- Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
- Demonstrated ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
