About the role
In support of the Human Capital Team Mission and Vision, the Senior Recruiter recommends, develops, executes, monitors, and evaluates recruitment and talent management strategies to ensure Welltower attracts and retains top talent. Partnering with hiring managers across the organization, this role ensures Welltower’s open positions and future workforce projections are filled with “the right people” in the most time-efficient and cost-effective manner, while continuously pursuing best practices that create a sustainable competitive advantage. You’ll be passionate about identifying talent, creating inclusive sourcing strategies, and building strong relationships inside and outside the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage full life-cycle recruitment activities (planning through onboarding) for assigned departments/roles.
- Source and identify talent through a variety of internal and external channels to drive a funnel of top talent interested in open roles at Welltower.
- Communicate with candidates and applicants via phone, Microsoft Teams, and in-person interviews, representing Welltower as an “Employer of Choice.”
- Collaborate with hiring managers and key stakeholders to create ideal candidate profiles, job descriptions, and hiring strategies.
- Manage all activity within the UKG applicant tracking system in a timely and accurate manner.
- Partner with the Total Rewards team to conduct salary research and provide recommendations.
- Consistently evaluate the interview and assessment process to ensure quality while optimizing the candidate experience.
- Research and review potential recruiting tools to drive process improvement and resource optimization.
- Assist in developing and executing an integrated diversity strategy across all areas of the organization.
- Leverage data and metrics to inform our approach, communicate priorities, and measure progress.
- Manage third-party recruiter and external job board relationships.
- Plan and attend career fairs for assigned universities and departments; travel to represent Welltower and recruit future hires.
- Oversee the selection of intern candidates.
- Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities may change with or without notice.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years of full-cycle recruiting experience with direct responsibility for filling open positions across all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated success in recruiting against key metrics (time to fill, cost per hire) and hiring top talent, as evidenced by internal measures of success (retention metrics, hiring manager satisfaction, upward or cross-lateral mobility of top talent).
- Experience using applicant tracking systems.
- Experience with modern sourcing/recruiting methods and proficiency with recruiting through external job boards, including LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Suite.
- Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field; graduate degree preferred.
- Professional designation or certificate in Human Resources Management is a plus.
Travel
Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected, including university career fairs and recruitment events.
