HybridMarketing$10/hrFull-time

Volta is the category-defining, fully vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform – from capital to clusters to software, under a founder-led enterprise. Our mission is The Utility of Compute™: AI infrastructure as dependable and available as electricity, for every organization that needs it. Launched with a $10B strategic partnership with one of the leading frontier AI labs, a Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund, Volta is building the infrastructure layer of the AI era from the ground up. We are 100+ people across London, Palo Alto, and New York, with rapid growth expectations to hundreds.

About the role

Volta is creating a new category in AI infrastructure – The Utility of Compute – at a moment when most buyers still think in terms of GPU availability and price, not financing models and capital structure. Changing that belief is a writing and storytelling problem before it’s a distribution problem: we publish a small number of genuinely authoritative pieces a year rather than running a high-volume content mill, and this role is the person who writes and shapes most of it, then carries it everywhere it needs to go – LinkedIn, our blog, press, and community. You’ll report to our Director of Marketing and take over the always-on content and social cadence he currently runs solo – with real ownership over what gets written, not just how it gets distributed. This is a high-visibility role for someone who wants to shape the public identity of a fast-scaling AI infrastructure company.

Responsibilities

  • Content & Storytelling – the core of the role
    • Write and ghostwrite the majority of Volta’s public content – LinkedIn posts, blog pieces, and thought leadership – in the voice of our CEO, CPO, and other executives, not just your own.
    • Own the blog and content calendar end to end, including our flagship long-form pieces and ongoing category-education content.
    • Build a repeatable content production pipeline – briefs, drafts, review cycles, approvals – so a strong publishing cadence doesn’t depend on any one person.
    • Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across everything we publish.
  • Social & Community
    • Own the always-on LinkedIn cadence across the company page and every executive profile, on a defined publishing rhythm.
    • Define and build out our community strategy – developer, customer, or broader brand community – in direct partnership with leadership.
    • Track share of voice against other players in the AI infrastructure space.
    • Track and report on social and community engagement metrics, refining strategy based on performance.
  • Press & Brand
    • Manage day-to-day press relationships, coordinating with our PR agency to help pitch and place stories.
    • Own the analyst and industry-influencer engagement calendar.
    • Partner with leadership to prepare talking points, statements, and messaging for planned public moments and announcements.
    • Lead rapid-response triage for anything that surfaces in social or press that needs a same-day read from leadership – the reactive counterpart to the planned messaging prep above.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in B2B tech comms, social, or content marketing – ideally with real executive ghostwriting experience, not just managing a content calendar.
  • A strong personal writing portfolio – this role is judged on the quality of what you write as much as how consistently it ships.
  • Demonstrated experience building an always-on content program from scratch, not just executing an existing playbook.
  • Experience building and growing an engaged online community from the ground up.
  • Prior press or analyst relations exposure, ideally in infrastructure, cloud, or deep tech.
  • Comfort operating with minimal existing infrastructure in a fast-moving, pre-Series-B environment, and working closely with executive leadership on public-facing messaging.
  • Track record of using engagement metrics and data to refine content and community strategy.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple channels and priorities simultaneously.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on the work you do here, not your previous salary.
  • Equity in Volta, giving you the opportunity to share in the company's long-term success.
  • Retirement/pension contributions.
  • Comprehensive health, wellbeing and insurance benefits.
  • Generous number of vacation days each year.
