Senior Consultant, Value Creation
About the role
The Senior Consultant in the Value Creation practice at Grant Thornton Stax will lead workstreams focused on revenue growth, pricing optimization, sales effectiveness, and commercial strategy. They will diagnose performance gaps and identify value creation levers across customer segmentation, pricing, sales operations, and go-to-market models. The role involves developing actionable roadmaps with clear financial impact and implementation milestones, partnering directly with portfolio company executives, building financial models to quantify revenue and EBITDA impact, and conducting scaled primary research.
Responsibilities
- Lead workstreams focused on revenue growth, pricing optimization, sales effectiveness, and commercial strategy
- Diagnose performance gaps and identify value creation levers across customer segmentation, pricing, sales operations, and go-to-market models
- Develop actionable roadmaps with clear financial impact and implementation milestones
- Partner directly with portfolio company executives (CEO, CRO, CFO) to drive alignment and support execution
- Build financial models to quantify revenue and EBITDA impact
- Structure client deliverables that clearly articulate insights, recommendations, and measurable outcomes
- Present findings and implementation plans to private equity sponsors and portfolio company leadership
- Conduct scaled primary research, including phone interviews and web surveys to inform strategic recommendations
- Manage Associates, ensuring analytical rigor and high-quality outputs
- Contribute to business development efforts and support the growth of the Value Creation practice
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in strategy consulting, value creation, commercial excellence, pricing, or growth strategy roles
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
- Experience working with private equity portfolio companies or corporate growth initiatives preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading defined workstreams focused on revenue growth, pricing, go-to-market, or operational performance improvement
- Strong financial modeling skills, with ability to quantify revenue and EBITDA impact
- Excellent structured problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentation experience
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel proficiency required
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
- High initiative, intellectual curiosity, and strong collaboration skills
- Experience managing small teams or leading defined modules within larger engagements

Pay
$165,000–$190,000 base salary range, plus a discretionary bonus. Base salary is commensurate with experience.
